A youth art project in Fremantle city is transforming old concrete bus shelters with murals.
The program is run by the City Council to pair the school curriculum with professional artists, design and paint shelters.
The first project is the anniversary theme mural, depicting the sanctuary of the Monument Hill High Street, depicting the poppy and the soldiers on horseback.
Other shelters celebrate the East Fremantle Sharks, rebuilding an old-fashioned living room that depicts life inside the old Fremantle Prison.
The City of Melville is also working on an art project for bus shelters.
